Known for our expertise in epoxy “wicking” technology, we developed our polyurea primer with the goal of having better adhesion to concrete than many competitive polyurea and polyaspartic products. This eliminates the need for a separate primer, allowing the installer to broadcast flake directly into the first coat quickly, saving installation time and reducing callbacks that may occur with other polyurea or polyaspartic primers delaminating from the concrete.
Versatile’s new 5055 Polyurea Primer is a fast-drying, two-component primer designed to have great adhesion to concrete and provide a good basecoat to broadcast decorative flakes. An environmentally friendly product, our polyurea primer is a 95% solids, low volatile organic compound (VOC) solution with low odor, providing cleaner air quality by eliminating strong chemical smells from your installations. Additionally, the ultra-fast curing features of the 5055 Polyurea Primer allow most installers to scrape the flakes in two hours or less. Now you can offer your customers a complete same-day polyurea/polyaspartic flooring system when combined with our 5085 Ultra-High Solids Polyaspartic Floor Coating without sacrificing adhesion to the concrete.
